Study abroad in Spain, and experience the diversity and vibrance of the Mediterranean. You have the chance to meaningfully experience Spanish culture while staying with a local host family and enjoying real-life foreign language practice you can’t get in a classroom. You make friends and new family members from around the world and develop skills, experience, and maturity that equip you for success in an increasingly globalized world – all while you’re still in high school!

  • People tend to be warm, outgoing and fun, giving hugs and kisses upon meeting a new person.
  • Sense of time in Spain is quite different than in the U.S. Being late is acceptable, and meals, especially dinner take place much later (usually around 10:00 p.m.).
  • Spain has a beautiful and varied landscape, from temperate beaches to stunning mountain ranges.
  • Traditional Spanish dishes include paella, gazpacho, and many forms of tapas, small dishes that are served as a snack with wine and beer.
