Experience the traditions of an ancient culture and interact with its inspiring young minds. You will volunteer at a local school building classrooms and working with the Maya children. The school is unique in that it promotes indigenous language and culture. Learn about immigration issues and the challenges the Maya community faces to preserve their heritage in the face of globalization, while exploring Quetzaltenango, a historically-treasured town of great scenic beauty.
