
Who can participate?
You can participate if you are between ages 13 to 19, have some language skills (see country) and have a strong interest in other people and cultures.
What are the language requirements?
Each country has different requirements, so click on the country of your choice to see the requirements. Also there are countries available that do not have any language requirements and countries that are English speaking.
How much does it cost?
The costs are based on the length of the program and the country of destination. Programs can be from two weeks to ten months. All program fees include round-trip airfare and accident and sickness insurance. Please click on your country of interest for specific program fees.

How do you apply?
Go to the links under the map and click the box “Contact Us” or click the box “Pre-application” and submit your contact information so that we may get in touch with you. Once you're ready to apply, please read the application instructions and fill out the duration-appropriate application. Please contact us should you have any questions.
Study Abroad
Individual Year Abroad (see country links for specific country information)
- ten months school year in a public or private high school in the country of your choice
- homestay with a carefully selected host family
- local coordinator to support you
- health and accident insurance
- orientations (pre-departure, arrival, end of stay)
- transportation (can be arranged on own with a discount of program cost)
- not included: personal expenses, passport and visa fees, some school fees
Individual Semester Year Abroad
- fall or spring semester abroad in a public or private high school in the country of your choice

Individual Short Term Abroad
- two week to three months visiting a public or private high school in the country of your choice
- homestay with a carefully selected host family
- local coordinator to support you
- health and accident insurance

REFUND POLICY
The $500 application processing fee will not be refunded if the student cancels after final acceptance.
CANCELLATIONS
If after final acceptance, all fees will be returned except for a USD$500 processing fee. If host family details have been given, an additional USD$1000 will be charged. If the flight arrangements have been made, an additional $1000 will be charged. All airline, hotel, and other booking cancellation fees are the responsibility of the applicant.
